Resources for Teachers and Students.

Critical Focus, The Black and White Photographs of Harvey Wilson Richards was first published in 1987. I made an ebook of it in 2014 that far surpasses the original paperback book with the addition of links to the Harvey Richards Media Archive collections. The eBook edition of Critical Focus is a gateway to well over 1000 new photos and 22 documentary films by Harvey Richards available on the internet through the Harvey Richards Media Archive and Estuary Press. A new “List of Photographs” in the ebook offers instant navigation to any photo in it. “Endnotes” in the ebook contain links to the Harvey Richards Media Archive by subject where hundreds of new photos unavailable at the time of the publication of the paperback book can be found. The videos are available as rentals, downloads or DVDs. A short preview of each film is available free on the web site, as are the on line images. Teachers can project the photos from the web for classes and provide students with links to acquire all the matrerials for display on their mobile devices. Tripping through the 1960s has never been easier.

The Critical Focus eBook brings this founding document of Estuary Press into the digital age. It is less than half the cost of the print book and can be delivered instantly without postage or fuel. It can be read on computers, tablets, phones or ipads.
