A Poem from Heart’s Journey
As Far as I Know
As far as I know
time is infinite
without beginning
without end
As far as I know
time is a series of breaths
one at a time till death
that for me hasn’t come
and perhaps is heavenly
From breath I can make a song
of vibrating vocal chords
and moving lips and tongue
As far as I know
time when confused with cash
as in “time is money”
makes stress and distress
from sold reluctant hours
sometimes not enough
sometimes overwhelming
putting my consciousness on hold
while life goes on like a 3-way conference call
while messages come in on the fax machine
from a fourth party
As far as I know
I can make time slow down
watching passing shadows of clouds
move on and on and on and on and on and on
and on and on and on and on and on and on
as far as I know
