Open Studio November 9 and 10, 2019, 321 Nevada Street, Vallejo, CA, 11 AM to 5 PM both days.
Nina Serrano and Paul Richards co-host our first ever Open Studio, entitled Poetic License, as part of the Vallejo Open Studios 2019 as guest artists at the New Pacific Studio (thanks to Kay Flavell), 321 Nevada Street in Vallejo where it will be held. The two day event will feature poetry, photography, video, audio, books and art created over our many decades of collaboration. Nina Serrano’s poetry, plays, films, books and videos will be on view as well as displays of wall mounted images, DVDs and videos from the Harvey Richards Media Archive. Paul Richards videos, websites, and books published by Estuary Press will also be displayed. It will be a multi-media open studio.
There is an Open Studios Opening Reception on October 25, 2019 at the Vallejo Naval and Historical Museum, 734 Marin Street, 6:30 to 8:30 PM. One piece of art from every open studio will be on display at the Reception. Ours is my two minute video, Spirit Ship, which you can see here.
We are proud to join with the thriving arts community in Vallejo with our participation in this annual Open Studios event. Hosting an Open Studio is something we have never done before and it has challenged us to put all of the work into an open studio format. We hope you can stop by.
