In Celebration of National Hispanic Heritage Month
In celebration of National Hispanic Heritage Month, Estuary Press posts “Hasta Sacramento“, an 8 minute excerpt from the Harvey Richards film “The Land Is Rich“ (1966). The video presents historic footage taken during the National Farm Workers Association march to Sacramento during the Delano grape strike, 1966. “Hasta Sacramento” is part of the Smithsonian “One Life: Dolores Huerta” exhibit that is now showing in museums around California and the nation.
Hasta Sacramento includes songs recorded during the march. “Hasta Sacramento” and “The Land Is Rich” are available from the Harvey Richards Media Archive.
