Licensing images from Harvey Richards‘ films or photo collection starts with an email inquiring to paulrichards@estuarypress.com . In order to quote license fee prices, information about the amount of material required, about use of the material, the name of the production, the producer’s name and location are needed.  License fees are not available without personally contacting me either via this web site or by phone.   DVDs are available for purchase (see Documentary Videos posts)

Over the years since 1987 when Estuary Press was founded, the films of Harvey Richards have been licensed for use in many documentaries, books, museums, television productions and other media.  Click this link to learn more.

  1. Greetings, how are you

Just to introduce myself, my name is Matt and I’m from Australia!

    https://estuarypress.com/hrma-video/well-never-turn-back-video/

In regard to this video, miss Hamer mentions how she stayed at mrs tucker’s house for 1 night then at some point 16 shots went through Mrs tuckers house thinking she was there

A few questions answered would go a long way in aiding me in nailing a report

    1. What date did she stay at mrs tuckers house
    2. what day did the shooting occur at mrs tuckers house
    3. was the shooting done by a white supremacy group like the KKK or by the plantation company?

THANK YOU so much for reading this

    • Hi Matt from Australia, Thanks for the comment. I do not know the exact dates of the incidents described by Fannie Lou Hamer. She was filmed in 1963 so it probably happened in 1961 or 2. It most certainly was white supremacy people who did the shooting. They could have been employed by the plantation or just some local racists. Sorry I could not be more helpful. Paul Richards

  2. Hello. I am a professor of History at Princeton University. I am finishing a book that will be published by Norton about the Mississippi Freedom Democratic Party and the 1964 Democratic Convention. I am currently collecting images for the book, and very much I can use the one below. All of these figures are central to the book. Could you tell me if it would be possible to receive permission for licensing? The Wisconsin Historical Society said they could make an image if I received permission? https://www.wisconsinhistory.org/Records/Image/IM32236. Happy to provide any other information that might be useful. Thanks in advance and hope this could work out. Best, Julian
